Made in Space


 ‘Made in Space’ is a character and costume design project exploring a full 3D project pipeline, from 2D concept to fully textured/rendered model. Inspired by a NASA article ‘Clothes “Made In Space”’, the theme was hypothetical astronaut fashion from a cute and creative perspective. This was my introductory project to Adobe Substance Painter as a texturing tool, exploring materials like glass, latex and fabrics. 




 The style influences for this character were hyperfeminine 2000s athleisure alongside obvious sci-fi inspiration. Incorporating a range of materials and fabric types was important too, in order to get a better grasp of Adobe Substance Painter. 
 None of the backgrounds were made by me, they were created using the new Adobe Photoshop AI feature and copyright-free stock images.
